Benalmadena is a town consisting of the three parts Benalmadena Costa, Benalmadena Pueblo and Arroyo de la Miel. Benalmádena is currently one of the favorite tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, standing out for its leisure facilities, including an amusement park, two aquariums, a casino, a cable car and one of the largest marinas in Spain.

Benalmadena Costa lies about 15 km southwest of Malaga airport and is probably the most interesting quarter due to the local tourist attractions. Using a car hire Malaga company you will get to Benalmadena in less than 10 minutes. The marina of Benalmadena Costa is a beautiful place to stroll and admire the manifold boats and yachts - it can be regarded as the focal point for Benalmadena's social scene and is central to the resort. In addition, Benalmadena has a total of 13 beaches that are accessible from the sea promenade, which crosses the town from one end to another and where are located a large number of Beach Bars.

Benalmadena offers lots of nice bars and restaurants with international ambience, theme parks like Tivoli World, Selwo Marina Dolphinarium or Sealife Centre and a great variety of water sports facilities. The city is also home to a beautiful Buddhist Stupa located in a privileged location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The ancient part of the town, Benalmadena Pueblo, is also worth a visit because it has maintained its charming atmosphere of an Andalusian white village.

At reasonable distances there are many places and cities to visit such as Malaga city, Granada, Marbella, Ronda, Gibraltar and El Chorro lakes. The area has several free newspapers with a good selection of entertainment.
