| The Museu d'Art Contemporani
de Barcelona (MACBA) brings together a major collection of works focusing
on the production of art over the past 50 years. Besides the permanent
exhibition of works from its holdings, the MACBA also stages an extensive
programme of temporary exhibitions and activities related to contemporary
art and culture. The museum building was designed by the North American
architect Richard Meier.
