Costa del Sol information: TORREMOLINOS

Torremolinos General Information

Torremolinos is one of the busiest tourist resorts in the Costa del Sol. The tourist industry is focused especially around the neighbourhoods of El Bajondillo and La Carihuela, due to their exceptional beaches, which are known throughout the world.

If we decided to go for a walk, we would find several steps leading to the sea, with a few viewing-points where we would be able to enjoy the views. Alternatively, you can use the lift to get to the beach. From this promenade we can see the Torre del Pimentel. These beaches have all the services that tourists need; the beaches are clean and well taken care of.

La Casa de los Navajas was built by someone from the neighbouring village of Churriana. Its style is neomudejar. It was yielded to the Town Hall. Its different architecture stands out. Passing through Bajondillo and Carihuela beach, we can see PLayamar in the distance, where we can enjoy the sun and see the famous towers.

The Avenida Costa del Sol is Torremolinos' town centre. Through here we can reach the pedestrian high street, called Calle San Miguel, where you can go shopping in the large number of souvenir shops and boutiques.

Torremolinos has a water park for children. The temperature ranges between 30 and 40ºC, which makes it a very desirable place by visitors who come fleeing from the low temperatures of their own countries.

You can enjoy the celebrations of the festivities of La Virgen del Carmen, with a stroll along the beautiful promenade, and later you can drink and dance in the purpose-built tents, or go on a ride at the fairground.
