Malaga Villages Information: COIN SURROUNDINGS

The surroundings
Very near Coin, in the montainous area of Ronda, is the natural park of " Sierra de las Nieves", the largest and most important in Malaga province. A few kilometres away in Alhaurin el Grande, you can find a curious tower, the tower of Urique. You can also find some spa resorts in Carratraca and Tolox. Finally, the beautiful dam of "El Chorro" is a large recreation area to be found near the cliffs of "Los Gaitanes".

A trip amid history and legend
They overcame many difficulties to arrive in this land. They had not found such a horizon anywhere else, a clean dense and fertile landscape. For centuries they fortified and beautified it, made use of its waters, made it rich, worth dreaming about. Their names were Ali, Omar, Abdurrajen and Gaitan.

Even today, the echo of their voices can be heard along the narrow streets of the town. A traveller arriving in Coin will feel the uniqueness of it's landscape, the warm and friendly atmosphere, a visit he will never forget.
