Playa de La Arena
In the township of Muskiz, this is the western most beach in Bizkaia
and one of the most popular.
Playa de Ereaga
Easy to reach with a whole range of services, this beach stands right
in the middle of Algorta. Its waves are a great attraction for surfers.
Playa de Arrigunaga
Here you can bathe with a view of passing merchant ships, such as
those making their way in and out of El Abra (mouth of the river Nervion).
Playa de Aizkorri
Getxo's third beach isn't the easiest to get to, but it is the cleanest
of the three.
Playa de La Salvaje
This wide, open beach gets its name for the huge waves that so delight
the surfers. El Playas Arrietara-Atzabiribil
Sopelana's two long, peacefu I beaches are virtually connected to
one another. Playa de Barrika
Small and sheltered, this is a favourite spot for nudists.
Playa de Gorliz
Its rambling sands and safe sea are a great family attraction.

Playa de Bakio
Long, open, clean and well equipped, this is a great spot for surfing
and diving.
Playa de Mundaka
Not very big, but well known by half of the surfers in the world.
Playa de Laida
At the mouth of the Gernika Estuary, this beach offers great views
of the area. Its size varies greatly depending on whether the tide
is in or out. 
Playa de Laga
The mountains tumble right down onto the beach with Ogoño rock,
making for one of the most beautiful spots on the Basque coast.
Playa de Ea
A small beach set in a fishing village. Playa de
Karraspio
Practically located in Lekeitio, although it belongs to Mendexa, this
beach looks out towards San Nicolas island and is a great spot for
taking a dip.

Playa de Saturraran
The enormously popular Saturraran beach, with its unmistakable rocky
silhouette, stands between the villages of Ondarroa and Mutriko.
Playa de Deba
Next to the town and river mouth of the same name, Deba is a pleasant
urban beach. Playa de Mutriku
This small stretch of shoreline is to be found at the harbour outlet.
Playa de Sakoneta
Those who love getting away from the crowds to the wilder areas just
have to seek out th is spot between Deba and Zumaia.
Playa de Itzurun
A pretty, clean strand surrounded by cliffs.
Playa de Santiago
The attractive beach beside the wetland at the mouth of the river
Urola in Zumaia where Zuloaga loved to paint.
Playa de Malkorbe
This relatively small and pretty beach is sheltered from the open
sea by the Rat6n de Getaria and is the twin of another local strand,
Gaztetape. 
Playa de Zarautz
2.5 km in length, this long stretch of sand is popular with both swimmers
and surfers. Playa de Orio
Waves beside the campsite at the mouth of the river Oria.

Playa Ondarreta-La Concha
Barely separated by a rocky outreach known as the Pico del Lora, the
two beaches set in the bay of San Sebastian have been dazzl i ng visitors
si nee the 18th century with their fine sand and elegant setting.
A real classic.
Playa de La Zurriola
The Kursaal Convention Centre looks out over the rambling sands of
this beach in the Gros neighbourhood of San Sebastian, a great favourite
with youngsters and surfers.

Playa de Hondarribia
Take a quiet dip on a long stretch of sand running along one side
of Txingudi bay. |
