The Permanent Collection CAC Malaga's permanent collection features more than 400 works of art offering a unique and multidisciplinary survey of the development of 20th century art, particularly the second half as far as the art of today. Among the leading names of contemporary Spanish and international art represented in the collection are: Alex Katz, Edward Ruscha, Susana Solano, Chema Cobo, Peter Halley, Juan Munoz, Cindy Sherman, Juan Usle, Thomas Struth, Jaume Plensa, Miquel Barcelo, Thomas Hirschhorn, Thomas Ruff, Rogelio L6pez Cuenca and Ernesto Neto. The permanent collection of CAC Malaga is shown in regularly changing displays that aim to focus on specific aspects of contemporary art. Temporary Exhibitions Gerhard Richter, Tony Cragg, Paul McCarthy, Helena Almeida, Louise Bourgeois and Alex Katz are among the leading figures in contemporary art who are the subject of exhibitions at CAC Malaga between 2003 and 2005. The Centre is also devoting space to the work of some of the most relevant and cutting-edge names in contemporary creation, including Jake & Dinos Chapman, Thomas Hirschhorn, Chema Alvargonzalez, Baltazar Torres, Neo Rauch, Jane Simpson, Jose Noguero, Liam Gillick, Maurizio Cattelan, Peter Halley and Jaume Plensa. |
