MONTJUIC MILITARY Museum

The Museu Militar is housed inside Montjuic Castle, the fortress overlooking the city and the harbour from the south-west. Today it houses important collections of weapons, uniforms and fiags '" from different periods, There is an added reason for visiting the museum: it boasts some of the most breathtaking views of Barcelona!

The Interpretation Center is located inside one of the gatehouses of the Park Güell, and helps us gain a greater understanding of Gaudi's work: a prodigious synthesis of architecture and nature. The park was initially designed as an Englishstyle residential garden city and was donated to the municipal council in 1923 for public use. Besides allowing visitors access to the caretaker's house, which reveals the unusual layout of the floors, the centre also displays the original park project and provides information about the different walks around the park and the types of flora which characterise this "green lung" in Barcelona.
