This thematic museum opened in 1994 and is located in the heart of
the Eixample district. It showcases the Jordi Clos Egyptian Archaeology
Collection, which features over 700 pieces that provide an insight
into the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt on an enjoyable and highly
educational visit. The collection mainly comprises ceramics, sarcophagi,
jewellery and mummies and is set out on two floors in five sections:
the Pharaoh; Private Individuals; Everyday Life; Funerary Beliefs
and Practices; and the Religious World. An extremely interesting collection
to foster understanding of this ancient civilisation. JEWELS
