The Cathedral is undoubtedly the one place in Barcelona which is the
focus of the city's history, religious art, guilds and the monarchs
who governed it throughout the centuries. In one wing of the cloister,
we find the ancient chapterhouse, the meeting place of the Cathedral
chapter, which today houses the Museu de la Catedral. This Gothic
chamber showcases some of the most
valuable exhibits and works of art no longer used
in religious ceremonies, among which we highlight The Pieta by Bartolome
Bermejo (1490). The painting which covers the ribbed vault, depicting
the glorification of Saint Oleguer and Saint Eulalia, is particularly
surprising. OPENING TIMES
