CaixaForum is the cultural centre of the "la Caixa" Foundation
in Barcelona and comprises 12,000 square metres of floor space. It
offers a venue staging a wide range of cultural, social and educational
events with a broad appeal, where visitors can enjoy exhibitions,
workshops, lectures, courses and concerts. CaixaForum is housed in
the former Casaramona factory, an art nouveau building constructed
in 1911 to a design by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
AUGUSTE RODIN
29th October - 27th February
The aim of this exhibition is to show the evolution of the work by
the sculptor Auguste Rodin (Paris, 1840 Meudon, 1917), and his influence
on 20th-century art. The exhibition, which can only be seen at the
CaixaForum, includes 110 pieces by 27 artists from over 30 public
and private institutions. TURNER AND VENICE
Early March - early June
8rings together some of the extraordinary, dreamlike paintings which
Joseph Turner (London, 1774 -1851) devoted to Venice. 20

In 1985, the "la Caixa" Foundation embarked on the challenge
to put together a collection of international contemporary art. This
exhibition will give us an idea of what has been achieved so far,
with video and installation as its focus, and works by key artists
