BARCELONA BOTANICAL INSTITUTE |
The Institut Botanic de Barcelona (IBB) is a centre for research, dissemination and conservation, specialising in the study of Mediterranean flora. It showcases the main herbaria which have been assembled in Catalonia since the 17th century by researchers interested in plants. FROM CURIOSITY TO FUTUROLOGY Three centuries interpreting nature 16th June - 17th October This exhibition reflects on the concept of nature in recent centuries: a homeland? a market? a sacred element? The different concepts can be seen in the collections of plants from Catalonia.
