Housed in a Gothic mansion on the historic Carrer Montcada, opposite
the Museu Picasso, we find the only museum in Europe devoted to the
art of pre-Columbian cultures (from 1500 BC to the 16th century).
The museum's small and intimate collection comprises some 100 exhibits,
including sculptures in stone and wood, ceramics, tapestries and jades.
A treasure trove which provides an insight into the wealth and wisdom
of the peoples who inhabited Mesoamerica and South America before
the Discovery, including the Olmecs, Mayas, Aztecs and tncas.
